The world is a dangerous place full of ghostly artifacts, skinheads, and dungeons and dragons. But don’t worry because Flo Bones is here to help. Or is she?

Caitlin and Alan take a trip to the graveyard in chapters 6-8. We get sensitive about the Sensitives, give advice on how to get rid of a dead body, and debate if it is monstrous to add sugar to hot cocoa.

Caitlin and Alan read chapters 3-5 of “The Whispering Skull” which starts Part Two: The Unexpected Grave. We dig into the dark side, eat some Swiss Roll, and meet a new client!

Caitlin and Alan begin “The Whispering Skull” with Part One The Wimbledon Wraiths by Jonathan Stroud. Our favorite ghost-hunters dig themselves into a hole, literally, and make a terrible bet. We talk about finding dead bodies all over London, Lucy hating on women (again), and the Anti-Lockwood Team.

Caitlin and Alan read “The Dagger in the Desk” by Jonathan Stroud. This short story first appeared as a choose-your-own-adventure style article in The Guardian. We debate what kind of ghost is causing the haunting, and feel guilty about laughing at all the George jokes.

Caitlin and Alan read Part Five of “The Screaming Staircase.” Inspector Barnes arrives with the DEPRAC cavalry to hand out adrenaline like candy and cover up the crimes of the rich. Lockwood gets his name in the papers, George gets celebratory doughnuts, and Lucy has a conversation with Skull!

Caitlin and Alan read chapters 20-24 of Part Four: The Hall of The Screaming Staircase. Lucy doesn’t miss a chance to insult George and Lockwood is suppressing his emotions. We find the screaming staircase- and blow it up! Lockwood solves the case, but Lucy passes judgement.

Caitlin and Alan read chapters 17-19 of Part Four: The Hall, of “The Screaming Staircase.” Lucy releases a ghost, Lockwood seems to know something, and George has tons of research. We take a trip to the countryside where drivers are crazy and groundskeepers are creepy!

Caitlin and Alan read the rest of Part 3 The Necklace from Jonathan Stroud’s “The Screaming Staircase.” We talk about all the great world building, the possible reasons that Lockwood wears a long coat, and George’s eyes being his best feature.

Caitlin and Alan read chapters 9-13 Part Three The Necklace of “The Screaming Staircase.” We get to know George better. A poltergeist attacks Portland Row (don’t worry; I didn’t say clown). And we meet Inspector Barnes and Quill Kipps!

Caitlin and Alan start reading “The Screaming Staircase” by Jonathan Stroud with Part One- Ghosts! We are sad that the King’s English has been changed in our North American versions. But we aren’t sensitive about it. Just angry. We love the world building, the word choices, and Lucy’s narrative voice. The jokes are good too.

Caitlin and Alan wrap up the first season of Lockwood & Co with “Not the Eternal.” Is it a window or a mirror? Have we lost our Talents? Are we reckless enough? We have a great time in the graveyard, and bring season one to a close.

Caitlin and Alan go to an auction and steal a mirror. Well… we watched some teenagers do that, anyway. Go undercover and listen to us talk about cold dead hearts of stone, jumping off of buildings, and The Golden Blade. We are NOT “Mesmerised” by the pretentious uppity Golden Blade!

Caitlin and Alan can’t believe how much story is packed into “You Never Asked.” We roll up our sleeves and go to a party. Lockwood is repressing, George is lying, Lucy is shopping, and Skull is being chatty. Follow our map to the library as we explain it all.

Caitlin and Alan strap into some electric chairs and watch “Death is Coming.” Did George go on a date with Pamela Joplin? What happened to the whole day? What is happening in the cafe? Lockwood is making terrible choices but it all okay because Flo Bones is here!

Caitlin and Alan review “Sweet Dreams” where Lockwood becomes nearly unbearable. Brutal arguments make us upset. Adults are being slimy and terrible. But a visit from the doctor helps to soothe our wounds. Time to visit a graveyard!

Caitlin and Alan watched “Doubt Thou the Stars” and end the Screaming Staircase anime arc. We love the adaptation changes from the book. Barnes has dug a deep hole. Will he ever climb out? Does the staircase scream enough?

Caitlin and Alan watched “Let Go of Me” where our favorite teens bond as a team. Caitlin would have do a lifetime of therapy for any of things that happen to our agents. Alan is seeing mirrors everywhere. Let’s sit down at an Italian Restaurant and talk about it.
